Delivery Driver/Warehouse Clerk
Davis Tool, Inc. a Hillsboro manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Clerk.
Day Shift: M-F (8:00 am 4:30 pm)
Daily Tasks May include:
Multiple Daily local deliveries (Hillsboro/Portland areas).
Transport materials using trucks, forklifts and pallet jacks.
Planning daily delivery route.
Loading and unloading of materials from the truck to loading dock areas. Loading and unloading may require the use of a pallet jack or hand truck.
Interaction with customers and/or other employees at the delivery sites.
Physical and administrative tasks involved in packing, unpacking, and distributing materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
Prepare goods for shipment using industry standard packaging practices.
Distribute materials in inventory and manufacturing areas.
Prepare kits and fixture packages for assembly and machining production.
Communicate with peers about problems and possible solutions.
The ideal candidates will possess the following:
A valid Oregon Class A CDL driver's license and an excellent driving record is required.
Haz Mat endorsement is optional.
Experience driving box trucks ranging in size from 16 feet to 28 feet in city traffic. May be required to drive a manual transmission diesel tractor with a 28-foot box trailer or a 53-foot flatbed attached.
Must be able to drive trucks with either manual or automatic transmissions.
Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
Good reading, writing, computer, and arithmetic skills.
Ability to routinely handle objects weighing up to 75lbs.
Ability to be on your feet the majority of the day moving materials.
Strong mechanical and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage time appropriately.
The driver will have a scheduled route and standard work schedule each week.
