In addition, our 24 hour a day/5 day per week manufacturing facilities and focus on continuous improvement supports our ability to deliver the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction. We use advanced Machining, Turning, Bending, Punching and other equipment. As a leading producer of parts and complex assemblies in Hillsboro, Oregon, we are looking for a Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead our day shift warehouse crew. Day shift is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the warehouse inventory, shipping, receiving, material handling, and management of people working in these departments. The Warehouse Supervisor currently reports to the Manufacturing Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring safety procedures and company policies are being followed
Maintaining quality and time standards
Ensure inventory counts and locations are accurate
Hiring and training for the department
Annual employee evaluations
Taking action when KPI's are not met
Support quarterly inventory audits by the finance team
Ensure delivery vehicles are maintained.
Daily Tasks include:
Communicating department status to other shifts and other departments
Ensure receiving, shipping, and kitting are complete daily
Ensure daily inventory audits are complete
Ensure area stays clean and organized
Education and/or
Experience:
Proven management experience
APICS certification or equivalent
Demonstrated experience using Lean
Ability to interpret internal and customer specifications
Strong communication skills
Valid driver's license
The Warehouse Supervisor at Davis Tool meets with each of their direct reports on a regular basis to track progress for both short and long term goals. They also give performance reviews annually. They regularly communicate and report on project status to the Manufacturing Manager on current items affecting the department. They also report biweekly (every other week) on goal progress at the Manufacturing Staff Meeting. The Warehouse Supervisor will have approximately 10 direct reports.
