Engineer II, Filling MSAT

Main Purpose of the Position:
This position is located at Genentech s Hillsboro Oregon Technical Operations (HTO). This position will provide support to the Operations Team in the design, installation, testing, and operation of manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and training to Operations and Maintenance
  • Build reliability into Operations equipment and processes
  • Establish equipment failure and risk analysis processes to increase reliability
  • Provide frontline troubleshooting and issue resolution support for the filling and packaging operations to decrease time of recovery from equipment malfunctions
  • Support product and component introductions
  • Identify and implement process & safety improvements
  • Drive FMEA to improve the quality and reliability of design
  • Support Investigations and atypical events, as well as resulting corrective or preventive action implementation
  • Root cause analysis facilitation/participation
  • Development and execution of integrated, startup, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities
  • Training program development;Participate in FAT efforts at vendor sites
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new process technologies in alignment with business objectives or regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in engineering or related field
  • Possess 3-5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Field
  • Knowledge of filling and related and equipment and processes is preferred
  • Key to this position is the demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and teamwork in a cGMP environment across functional and organizational boundaries
  • Excellent communication skills are a must
  • Ability to assess and develop timely, effective solutions for manufacturing equipment and processes is a key
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belts is a plus



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
