About the Position
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Order Management Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end customer engagement from quote through delivery. This position will be responsible for customers within a defined sales region and will own quote generation, purchase order validations, sales order entry, order scheduling, order shipping, order invoicing, order delivery verification, and customer experience management.

_Primary responsibilities for this position include the following:_
Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
Thoroughly and efficiently gather customer information, access and fulfill customer needs, educate the customer where applicable to prevent the need for future contacts and document interactions through contact tracking.
Provide quality service and support in a variety of areas.
Maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision making.
Handles issues in the best interest of both customer and company.
Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements.
Other duties as assigned.

_The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills:_
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED). Preference will be given for candidates with Associates Degree, with an emphasis in business related coursework.
Consideration will be given to candidates without a degree who can demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained from additional professional experience.
Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for
customers.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Has "thick skin" and is able to handle complaints and unpleasant customers.
Has a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude.
Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed.
Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
Intermediate computer skills are required including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook). Additional preference given for familiarity with manufacturing or ERP systems (SAP) and data entry and/or collection from such systems.
Must be able to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
Strong desire to bring best practices to the team, share your knowledge and expertise and enable your team members'' mutual success as the organization continues to grow.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Must have a minimum of 5 years related work experience in a customer service or help desk capacity

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
