Hiring Profile
Creates, develops and maintains operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication use.
Conducts interviews with various users, input providers and technical staff to gather data for documentation creation.
Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users.
Understands the engineering processes and specifications.
Recommends formats responsive to user requirements.
Produces products conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
Specific deliverables associated with this position include:
Write end-user documentation in line with the level of education of the end user
Capture appropriate work instructions and develop into user guides/manuals that will be delivered in paper, multimedia or as web-based publication
Writes and edits service and safety bulletins
Gathers and organizes source materials
Assists or creates project assignments
Interviews developers, subject matter experts, product users and project implementation specialists to determine needs of documentation
Manages outsourcing projects
The Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
Typically a university degree is required, or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrate the required skills
Excellent understanding of the English language, verbal and in writing
Must possess a high degree of familiarity with typical documentation programs and formats for technical documentation and training materials
Prior experience in developing similar types of documentation for technical publications and written training materials, preferably with experience developing user manuals, online help guides and related training / user materials for computer programs
Must possess excellent communication ability
Preference for candidates who can demonstrate successful project work in cross-functional and cross-cultural international work teams

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
