Senior Financial Analyst
This position will be responsible to assist with the preparation of financial analysis for the Ascensus College Savings division. The individual will generate recurring monthly reporting and support various finance projects and analyses. The individual will sometimes be required to explain complex financial subjects to non-financial staff. The projects include, but are not limited to, compilation and reporting of the annual budget, cost benefit analysis, and profitability studies for various business segments. This position requires an accounting or finance degree and strong spreadsheet skills. There is only one position and can be remote anywhere in the lower 48 states Essential Duties and

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills and demonstrated confidence in explaining, defending and or challenging analytical findings. Well-developed interpersonal and team building skills. Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills. Ability to envision the big picture while maintaining close attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly to understand key business unit drivers and business models. Role requires strong interpersonal skills to work closely and partner with business unit and corporate teams. Ability to independently make decisions within a broad context and solve a variety of moderately complex problems. Partner with operational experts and build relationships within the business. Coordinate and execute analyses with cross-functional teams; create solutions, provide answers and think outside the box. Business maturity and presence to effectively interact with senior management. Execute annual planning and budgeting:
prepare critical analyses of financial projections and performance for ongoing business decisions. Create presentations to senior management to aid financial transparency. Ability to create financial models, conduct scenario analysis, understand and assess options. Demonstrated ability to lead project/work activities, drive process change & efficiencies, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Develop key business strategies to accelerate our growth and success by partnering with cross functional teams; communicate critical learnings across the team and broader corporation. Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment. Gain exposure to the company's most pressing challenges and strategic priorities, with an opportunity to drive outcomes through data-driven analysis. Minimum Requirements Education:
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA or advanced degree a plus. 5
years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis. Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills. Experience with Cognos TM1 or other ERPs a plus. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Detail oriented with strong technical writing, communication and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively with senior professionals across multiple business disciplines. Ability to work independently and exercise mature judgment. Good working knowledge of accounting and finance theories, practices, and regulations.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
