Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians to support our customers in multiple locations.
This position requires the successful candidate report to a site location in the Hillsboro, OR Metropolitan area.
This role also includes the potential for travel up to 60% of the time to various US, Canada, and Latin America based locations.

The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations.
This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation.
All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team.
Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.
In addition to hardware and network repair candidates will install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix problems within the Data Center Space.
This team works in an environment that operates 24/7.

NOTE:
Lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.
Key job responsibilitiesYour daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Network, device and link troubleshooting- Resolving trouble tickets in a timely manner- RMA processing- Working with cross-functional teams (both internal and external)- Coordinating remote hands support with colocation providers- Completing cross connect requests- Performing site audits to ensure safety and quality meets standards- Driving the team to improve operational efficiency through process improvement initiativesA day in the lifeResolving breakfix tickets at our Edge sites, managing migrations and cross connects, RMA removals, and other projects for the larger DCO team.
This is a largely independent position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
