Cinder Solutions is very excited to announce a new opening for a Data Analyst for one of our direct clients in Hillsboro, OR. This is a full time position that is 40 hours a week. We also offer a competitive benefits package that includes PTO and a full benefits package.
Job Description and
Responsibilities:
The candidate must have the ability to work within a team delivering Ad Hoc reporting needs and building out Ad Hoc Analysis capabilities. This includes, requirements gathering and documentation, release validation, data analysis and troubleshooting issues relating to data.
The candidate will have previous experience working in a customer facing role, be customer oriented and have experience in working with SQL and large datasets.
Education Level:
BA/BS degree in Statistics or other quantitative disciplines such as Engineering, Applied Mathematics, etc. (In IIeu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years Software Project management or Software Program support function experience
- Deep knowledge of software development processes and methodologies / Agile.
- Experience with Jira (Defect management, requirements capture) / Excel / Power point
- Experience with consumer-facing internet products & services
- Exceptional communication skills
- Solid understanding of data modeling Techniques
- Ability to effectively work with internal teams across numerous functions and Ievels
- Ability to quickly learn complex business processes and understand the underlying transactional systems
- Expert in MS Excel, SQL and programming for advanced data analysis and visualization
- Experienced in developing SQL queries and understanding data models
- Documentation of requirements (ideally user stories)
- History of working with customers to extrapolate requirements
- Experience with compiling Web Analytics (preferred Google Analytics/Adobe Omniture)
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, word, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience in completing data analysis activities and troubleshooting data issues
- Must be an expert as a Business Intelligence Data Analyst Must be experienced with MSBI
