Cinder Solutions is looking for a sold Systems Administrator to fill a position for one of our direct clients in Hillsboro, OR. This is a full time position that offers a full range of benefits including PTO and healthcare coverage.
Job Description:
Enables more rapid testing and data generation of Cloud I/O workloads for input into our R&D efforts to improve our future products.
Daily
Responsibilities:
- Install Linux/Windows/ESX OS
- Ability to change Linux configuration file and build Linux OS
- Experience in system administration with ability to configure file systems, network parameters etc.
- Experience in running network and storage benchmarks. Ability to compile Linux benchmarks sources to executable
- Ability to develop PERL and/or Python scripts
- Ability to setup web servers and ability to work with PHP scripts with Apache web server.
- Familiarity with Java and/or c programming language
Required Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of cloud computing
- Advanced knowledge of Linux
- Advanced knowledge of Python
- Advanced knowledge of Testing
- Intermediate knowledge of Test Documentation
- Apache Web Server experience
- VMware ESX install/usability experience
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with network protocols like TCP/IP etc.
- Familiarity in setting up Ethernet LAN
- Familiarity with updating or modifying server hardware
- Experience optimizing Linux networking stack
