Reporting to the EHS Manager, the Security/Facilities Representative's role is to oversee the protection of SolarWorld employees, property, buildings and grounds through deployment of effective daily security operations. Individual will be the main SolarWorld contact for the onsite contract security guards and coordinates all security relatedactivities, such as scheduling shifts and training. This position also encompasses ERT coordination, including the development, implementation and maintenance of a site- wide, comprehensive, all hazards emergency management program to prepare for and direct site wide actions in the event of an emergency. Assists the EHS team with recordkeeping, water sampling, report preparation and other miscellaneous duties.
_Primary responsibilities for this position include the following:_
Main SolarWorld contact for contract security guards; duties include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing work, training personnel and recommending applicants for employment or for discipline, termination or retention.
Teaches and enforces safety regulations at the work site.
Establishes security priorities.
Assists in identifying high risk areas and initiates actions to reduce risk exposure.
Reviews utilization and maintenance of security equipment.
Prepares daily and periodic reports to management regarding activities.
Assists in development of security policy and procedures.
Communicates with management about security needs and problems.
Maintains and recommends changes or improvements in the software recordkeeping system for security guard activities.
Conducts security assessments, reviews and self-inspections. Analyzes and interprets results, recommends appropriate corrective actions, communicates results and follows-up on issues or concerns until completion.
Develops, coordinates, facilitates and maintains ERT management policies and procedures and
emergency operations activities ensuring adherence to the emergency management goals of: Protecting life, health, and safety; Securing and protecting facilities, property and equipment from loss; Maintaining essential business services and operations; Providing for restoration of services, functions, and facilities as timely as possible; Continuously assessing the effectiveness of the policies, procedures, activities and organizational structure and provide feedback for continuous improvements.
Serves as a contact with federal, state, and local emergency response groups. Develop relationships with local fire, law enforcement, EMS providers and local emergency management groups.
Reviews and updates policies, programs, and procedures ensuring inclusion of any new legal requirements.
Keeps abreast of changes to laws and regulations that impact the site. Utilizes best practices in emergency management and planning.
Reviews and investigates incidents, compiling findings and recommendations for corrective actions into summary report.
Develops, implements, and coordinates site-wide emergency training. Prepare and deliver appropriate training to all SolarWorld employees.
Works with all areas of site to facilitate, implement, maintain and exercise an effective site wide business continuity plan that strives to reduce the possibility that SolarWorld operations will be interrupted in the event of a disaster.
Participates in shared governance process as a committee member. Provides technical knowledge on emergency preparedness and related issues, plans, and projects for implementation.
Assists with the design, development and implementation of: disaster preparedness plans and training programs, emergency operations drills, department level emergency and mitigation plans, and interdepartmental activities. Routinely communicates emergency management preparedness measures to all SolarWorld employees.
Assist with preparation of reports and HSE programs.
Assist with planning and instruction of safety trainings.
Recordkeeping and maintenance of Environmental Health and Safety plans.
Water sample collection, water container inspections, waste water meter readings.
Facility wide safety inspections on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Assist with monitoring compliance throughout the departments.

_The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills:_
Must have a minimum of 3 years related work related experience with progressively responsible security experience (e.g. Military, Police or Governmental or Private Security Service) or supervisory experience in civilian sector on operational level supporting high-tech, manufacturing facilities with 7/24 operation.
A Bachelors of Arts or Science Degree in a related discipline is required. Consideration will be given to candidates without a degree who can demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained from additional professional experience.

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Work either day or night as required.
May be required to alternate schedules to meet training goals.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
