The candidate will advise firm's worldwide R&D organizations on engagements with academia and industry, coordinate with other business units on certain engagements, and support innovation and invention in the Labs. Will collaborate closely with the Labs' BU partners and IP Counsel in selecting appropriate intellectual property frameworks and developing open/walk positions for the Labs' deal review process. Draft and negotiate agreements with third parties for collaborative research and technology licenses, as well as consulting and services agreements; and partner with IBL Legal team members in the U.S., EMEA, and APAC on regional and local R&D engagements. Should have a J.D. degree from an accredited university. Should have 7
years of experience working on technology and collaboration agreements. Experience with open source and copyright matters, and with publishing agreements, is preferred.
Deadline: April 18, 2014Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
